The “Green Energy” - Our eco-sustainable choice A concrete example in promoting a sustainable future of our company and our commitment in the environmental protection is certainly the new roof with solar panels. Talking about environment many companies make a lot of promises, but not all, then keep them: in October 2010 the installation of solar panels on the roof of the factory has begun. After only two months we finished the installation of all the panels and the total project will be completed with the connection to the national grid and the start of production of energy in spring 2011. 2.300 solar panels; Electrical power equal 615 KWp (equivalent to the needs of more than 200 families); 670.000 KW/h anual produced; 7,000 m² of Ethernit roof reclaimed and replaced: the equivalent of 1.5 football fields; We will save about 3,350 tonnes: the equivalent in oil of 20 years; Reduction of about 7.115 tonnes of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere in 20 years, the equivalent of 3.690 planted trees; 2.200.000 € invested. A first concrete response by our company, guided by principles of environmental protection and sustainable development, contemplates the reduction of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide through the reduction of pollutant emissions units to save energy and reduce waste. “Makes more noise a tree falling that a growing forest” so we can consider “solar energy” as the growing forest. This is the reason why if we look upwards we can see the solar panels that are growing among the roofs.

Lean Thinking- All involved in continuous improvement! In De Angeli we are now changing our organization by adopting the philosophy of "Lean Thinking". Nowadays, to be capable in our work is not enough, we must be the best. This is our new challenge. It is an ambitious target that we are trying to reach by using the Kaizen’s thought. One of the fundamental concepts is the reduction of the waste (Muda). It’s necessary to start from the definition of the value chain for the client and delete all the activities that do not generate value by following a philosophy that leads to continual improvement, achieved at all levels of the company. The motto is: not a “big step” only one day but a “million small continuous steps to achieve the highest goal”. We went trough with this concept already in all production departments, by applying first the “5 S” methodology, which aim is to improve the workplace, through the proposals and ideas of the operator itself. All the departments of our production have almost been involved and the “wave” of change is now arrived at the offices as well.

Berlino CWIEME 2010 During the CWIEME 2010 in Berlin we launched the new product range of copper and aluminium conductors insulated with glass yarn or glass and Polyester. This has been possible thanks to our customers and suppliers partnerships, to our effort in research and equipment investment. New copper and aluminium conductors are now able to satisfy all applications where insulation has to pass the most severe mechanical, thermal and dielectric tests.

Dusseldorf April 2010 We participated to the biannual and of global relevance Fair of "Wire & Tube" held in Dusseldorf (D) from 12 to 16 April 2010: this opportunity allowed us to develop strong relations with many suppliers/costumers. Thanks to this event we were able to compete for the award of a contract of 7000 tons of the special conductor ACSS - Aluminium Conductor Steel Supported. “Wire & Tube” has been very important for De Angeli Prodotti because it has given greater visibility to our products and allowed us to extend the knowledge of our market interest.
